Proper Hand Cooked Crisps (that’s potato chips to Americans…)
Okay, I’ll admit it. I’m a bit of a potato chip junkie. If they’re in the house, I eat them. Consequently, we don’t buy them often. So when we were asked to review New Zealand’s Proper Potato Chips, I didn’t even ask Jane, I just said yes.
We were sent one bag of four of their flavors: Vinegar and Sea Salt, Smoked Paprika, Rosemary & Thyme, and Marlborough Sea Salt. Being a potato chip purist, my favorite was the Marlborough Sea Salt, followed closely by the Vinegar and Sea Salt, but they were all delicious. Proper makes a good chip, thinly sliced and very light, not overly greasy.
And the company is based in one of our favorite places on the planet, Nelson, New Zealand!
If you live in California, you might be able to find Proper chips at your local Whole Foods, or you can buy the potato chips directly from Proper
