November 1: Compassion Over Killing Proudly Presents the Red Carpet Premiere of Inspiring Documentary, “Called to Rescue”

Q&A with leading figures in the animal protection movement to follow

Who:  On World Vegan Day, Compassion Over Killing is proud to sponsor the  red carpet premiere of “Called to Rescue,” to be followed by a Q&A panel featuring:

– Erica Meier, Executive Director of Compassion Over Killing

– Gene Baur, Founder & President of Farm Sanctuary

– Ellie Laks, Founder of The Gentle Barn

– Naomi Call, Director & Co-Producer of “Called to Rescue”

What:  “Called to Rescue” is a feature-length, non-graphic documentary showcasing the lives of rescued animals and the dedicated humans who care for them at sanctuaries nationwide. The film features leading animal and environmental activists, including musicians Moby and Tony Kanal.

Why:   “Called to Rescue” spotlights the inspirational leadership role of farm sanctuaries caring for animals, protecting the environment, and creating educational opportunities. The film discusses important ethical concerns regarding the value society places on farm animals, humanity’s concern for reversing environmental degradation, and the many benefits of a plant-based diet.
